Terms of Use
Toovn is a private social calendar for people who want to share what they're socially up to with a select group of friends and acquaintances - with no pressure to respond and no public profile. These terms explain what you can expect from the service and what's expected from you when using it.
At a glance
- Toovn is a private tool - nothing you share here is public.
- You're responsible for what you post.
- One account per person. Don't share accounts or automate access.
- Toovn is not responsible for plans that fall through. It's a coordination tool, not a contract.
- We can suspend access to accounts that are used abusively or against these terms.
The service
Toovn lets you create private social circles (hoops), share events with them, and let the people you choose see what you're up to. It is not a public platform. There is no discovery and no public feed.
Access to Toovn is provided on a personal, non-transferable basis. You may use the service for your own personal coordination - not on behalf of businesses, agencies, or automated systems unless we've agreed otherwise.
Business use is possible when it's for the personal coordination of a group of people within the business, representing themselves as individuals. For example, a group of colleagues sharing event/social plans. Business use that involves representing the business itself or using the service for commercial purposes isn't permitted without prior agreement.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. If you have reason to believe someone else has access to your account, please get in touch.
Each account is for one person. Creating multiple accounts or sharing an account with others isn't permitted.
Each account is human-run and human-accessed. Using bots, agents, or automation to interact with Toovn social circles or events isn't permitted.
If you close your account, your personal data will be removed in line with our privacy policy.
What you post
You're responsible for the events and content you create on Toovn. The service is intended for personal social coordination. You agree not to use it to:
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
- Impersonate another person.
- Share content that is unlawful or that you don't have the right to share.
- Share content that is harmful, derogatory, or that promotes violence or discrimination.
- Attempt to access or interfere with parts of the service you're not authorised to use.
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts where these terms are clearly being breached.
The service itself
We aim to keep Toovn running reliably but we can't guarantee uptime. Toovn is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for missed events, lost data (beyond what we've already committed to in our privacy policy), or anything arising from the use of the service.
We can change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Toovn at any time. If we're making a significant change, we'll try to give users reasonable notice.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we'll post the updated version here and note the date at the bottom of the page. Continuing to use Toovn after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
